  Bought a laptop from John Lewis, it packed up after a week. It just sat on my desk, I hadn't moved it yet. Under their policy, they claim to give you a return in such a scenario. I called up, went through troubleshooting and was told to go to the store for the replacement. In store, the woman who saw me told me the computer looked old, she wouldn't replace it and I was trying to pass off an old computer as new to rip off the store.   We recently held our wedding gift list at the cardiff store. Our experience was terrible. The store itself provided a great service it was the after care and giftlist call center in scotland which were terrible. They are completely useless over the telphone. There service has no flexibilty what so ever. We got back from honeymoon and rang john lewis for delivery of items. They said this would take at least two weeks and this wasnt because they were busy, it was just part of their process! Any item..
